VICTOR KNIGHT
With over 20 years of sports event management, public relations and marketing experience, Vic joined the Mishkin Group in May 2009 to help develop its various sports properties and also serve as the Executive Director of the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic football game.
As its Executive Director, he will use that professional background to help the All-Star Classic achieve a new level of success, capitalizing on new media technologies, creative marketing strategies and the tremendous growth of interest in high school football and the collegiate recruiting process.
From 1988-2008, he served as Public Relations Director for the Senior Bowl, the nation's premier college all-star football game and the only bowl game associated with the National Football League. In that role, he developed all facets of public relations and integrated marketing for the bowl, as well as providing extensive event management expertise for the bowl and its ancillary events held throughout the year.
His successful PR and advertising efforts enabled that event to achieve 14 consecutive sellouts for the first time in the bowl's 59-year history, including the earliest sellouts and largest attendance totals in the history of the game. His successful management of some of the game's ancillary events also helped generate over $4 million for Gulf Coast charities.
He also developed the comprehensive public relations and integrated advertising strategies for those events, creating the road map for success that was used by the Senior Bowl for over 20 years.
In addition to the Senior Bowl, he has previously worked with numerous major Mobile area sporting and non-sports events over the years including the All-Star Classic in the early 1990s, America's Junior Miss, the Gulf Coast Classic and the GMAC Bowl.
Vic is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a B.A. in Journalism, and lives in Spanish Fort with his wife, Katie, and their three children.
